Seeing some conversation on this. But not a real solution…
I have two Wyze Cam Pan’s in place. Both have cards. 32gb class 10 that were NOT formatted with the Wyze app. But the format program from the SD web site.
Both of these Wyze Cam Pan’s will restart on there own at least every other day usually more often. Sometimes several times a day. It is not a power issue. I have run a voltage recorder on the circuit that supplies power to both.
There seams to be an issue between the camera and the cards or maybe even the Wyze app. Both of these cameras have stopped giving me “Play Back” at different times. And at one point one of them told me it did not have an SD card installed. A simple “Restart” thru the app did nothing. Nor did a “Power Cycle” A fancy way of saying pull the plug. Wait a minute. Plug it back in. I had to remove and reformat the cards. And one of the cards was a throw away. I plugged it into the computer and it was not recognized. I am at that same point again with one of the cameras. Again it is telling me there’s no card installed. I have a new Wyze Cam Pan on order from the Wyze web site. On the outside chance it’s a problem with the cameras I have. But I very much doubt it.
The random restarts and the undependable play back really make them useless most of the time…
Not positive on this. But it appears the problems start and persist when the cards are close to being full. Putting a empty formatted card in seams to stop the random restarts and allow good play back. For a while. Could be a coincidence. But it
seams like random restarts and poor of no play back return when the card is near full.
I do not believe there’s anything I can do on my end to correct this situation. But I’m certainly open to suggestions…
