Wyze Bolt - Battery dead within 1 week

Has anyone’s new batteries (not rechargeable) died within 1 week? I changed to another new set of batteries and it died quickly as well. I also reset the bolt by deleting it from the app but it didn’t solve the issue.

I personally have not had the issue. My Lock Bolt has the original batteries in it and has been in place for months. My Batteries are still at 77%.

What kind of Batteries are you using?

@spamoni I had the same experience with the original batteries. I’m using Energizer Max batteries

AA Lithium Batteries in Wyze Lock

In a Wyze support article it’s stated that extended life AA’s should not be used in the Wyze Lock in place of standard alkaline AA’s: “Note: All 4 batteries should be replaced at the same time, and should only be replaced with standard alkaline batteries. Rechargeable or Extended Life batteries shouldn’t be used with the Wyze Lock.” I assume this is due to the nominal voltage difference with these types of batteries. I do realize you are using Alkaline batteries, but I wonder if the Energizer Max could be an issue. Have you tried the basic Energize or Duracell?

I read about rechargables but not extended life batteries. I could try basic duracell. do you know if the bolt came with duracells in the original box/package?

I believe they did come with the basic Duracell Batteries

Installed it 9 months ago and batteries are still above 85%.
I’m actually still impressed by the Lock Bolt. My best Wyze device yet.
