With the Wyze battery Cam Pro, how many hours are you getting from these batteries and how long does it take to fully charge?
I just installed a couple of these 2 months ago before going on vacation. The unit with a lot of activity (10-12 times/day) didn’t last the 2 months. The unit with much less activity did last that long with some reserve left. Just got around to hooking up the one unit with a solar panel so I’ll see how that goes
I have 4 of them. They work great. The battery is exactly as @jurassicjockey said, it’s not going to last a long time if there many events in the day.
Get a solar panel. It will keep the battery charged even on the busiest camera. I have it with the Wyze BirdFeeder. The birds are coming at that thing all day. 50 events a day???
I don’t limit recording. It will do 5 minute recordings too (if the birds keep it going).
HIGHLY suggest solar panel. Will solve the battery issue. Get a comparable one from Temu. It works the same as Wyze. All came from China anyway. You can get 3 of them for the price of 1 Wyze panel.
Get the solar panel from Temu or the camera?
Is the solar panel compatible with all battery cameras?
Sorry… Get the solar panel from Temu. As long as your voltage matches, it is compatible.
The Wyze solar panel is 2.5w / 5v DC
Great info. That is exactly what I needed. Thanks.
