After I installed the new version on my Samsung A20 Android 9 I had the white box on playback in landscape mode. Rebooted phone, white box gone.
I was halfway wondering if it was something graphics chipset/rendering related that a reboot might fix.
Itāll be interesting to see if this method fixes it for others who have encountered the problem.
Anyone having problems with Android app update?
Since update my wyze app is just frozen on open. Cleared cache and data, then relogged in. After initial opening itās doing the same thing. I canāt move anything or select anything. Cameras wonāt load either, I do have tinycam and can confirm cameras are working.
I have not encountered your specific issue, but I have reported in several other posts that my cam pans rotate quickly, but then video feed response lags by 5 seconds or more. That was not the case on version 2.6 from which I upgraded.
I had video delay on earlier versions also but the app issue is something new
Rebooting did not change anything for me. White rectangle still there on V3ās in fullscreen landscape mode on SD Card playback.
Pixel 5 Android 11
Rebooting didnāt fix the white rectangle issue. It definitely seems like an Android app bug with the v3s only in landscape mode with SD card playback.
Noticed that my iOS Beta app is still 2.21.26. Is there a reason that the production app is past my beta? Iāve never seen that happen before.
@rcpostel
It actually happens often, the production app is out but a new beta is not ready yet. As soon as a new beta is ready it will be available
Got it, thanks for confirming!
I noticed that when I get multiple camera push notification events, if I click on an older push notification to try to play the event, it will default and play the newest event instead.
If I have three push notification events, if I click on either the oldest or second oldest event, then the newest event will still open up.
Any of you guys notice this on Android 2.21.26?
I will test check it out, need to accumulate some notifications first. ![]()
I see you said multiple cameraās. But does it go to the current recording regardless of camera or the current recording for the camera you tapped on?
I just did a test and I can confirm that I am experiencing the same issue as you.
I submitted a log #233312
This is interesting as when I click on the most current Notification, it actually plays the live stream and not the event.
This may be normal if you have Cam Plus and the event is still live.
Thanks for confirming the bug! Yeah itās normal to play the livestream if you click on it too fast and it happens more often with CamPlus like @newshound said. If you wait until the event has ended, then it will only play the event.
I do. I will try one without camplus
I saw the same white bar using the latest app on my tablet and phones. I just uninstalled the latest app and went back to an earlier APP version and the white bar in playback in gone. Iām sticking with the older app till the new app gets fixed. I only have Wyze 2 and Wyze 3 cameras. I donāt need any of the other gadgets Wyze has for sale.
I think it will be fixed in the next release.
