I’m looking forward to the T-shirt designs for that one and envision a “never forget” message with a mournful-looking Wyze Cam Outdoor.
Now that I think about it, I’m kind of surprised @ssummerlin hasn’t been posting AI-generated mock-ups to the topic he started.
In an attempt to steer myself back toward something topic adjacent, I still don’t see a compelling reason to update to this one and haven’t yet done so on my test phone, though I might try it at some point to see if it eats less battery and does a better job of cleaning up after itself, particularly after using the PiP feature. That behavior still puzzles me.
I wouldn’t sweat it. You’re not being spammy, and you’re trying to do the right thing, which I’m sure a lot of us appreciate.
I don’t know if there’s a “proper” way to post. I think a lot of people have their own styles or ways of doing things, so you can just learn by reading and observing, depending on how much time you choose to spend here.
Regarding tutorials, you can create a new personal message (if you’re using a PC browser, you can click the “+” next to Messages in the sidebar on the left) to @discobot and in the body include @discobot start tutorial for the basic tutorial or @discobot start advanced tutorial for the…uh…advanced tutorial. Each takes only a few minutes to complete, and I think they’re helpful.
You’re welcome to send me a personal message if you like, too, and I’ll try to answer whatever questions I’m able, though I’m certainly no expert.
Getting back to the topic at hand again, after reading @ronl4625’s comment in the topic about the more recent update, I might actually try to play some catch-up and see if the newer version seems like it’s managing resources any better.
