Wyze app release candidate, Cam Pan v2, Pan v3 & Cam v3 Firmware Beta Test 8/6/2025

I am not sure if it was documented clearly anywhere and unfortunately I do not have an iOS device to write up my own.

If you go to set up a short cut and you have a Siri device you should see something like this screen that has the Save and Add to Siri.

Thanks for the screen cap. I added two automations, one turning on a group of cams and another turning off the same group and it worked. I’ll keep on testing and let you know. So far so good.

EDIT: What would be nice is to have the ability to save all my automations for Siri instead of doing them one by one.

Where are you setting these up? I see nothing in Apple shortcuts, no prompts in the automations. Is it on the Wyse automation screen? I am lost.

Yes it is. Go into your Wyze app and select automations. Click on a shortcut and the screen should look like the one @WyzeJasonJ posted. Click on Save and add to Siri and that’s it. It will also give you an option to change the Siri phrase.

I found it, it’s in the WYZE app and it’s automations, now have an option to add the command to operate that automation zero Siri. Thank you.

By the way one of the latest updates to Apple is causing a misalignment of text location in this chat. So I cannot correct my typos.

now, if we can just get a “do” that will show the camera, or a scene.

That would be awesome!

You are asking for a miracle my friend

I realize this comment was made in another topic and is discussing a feature mentioned for the previous β app, but I want to respond to it here, hoping that it gets more visibility for the developers and others at Wyze:

Cam V3 notification menu is stuck loading for a long time and then afterwards it shows a blank screen as per screen shots. Can anyone else recreate this?

Camera Settings > Notifications > Manage Events

Log #1967553

Android Wyze app: 3.7.0.b690
Cam V3 FW: 4.36.14.3497

Bizarre. I finally updated to b690. It took 10 days for Google Play to post it to me. Usually a day or two. Oh well, all seems well.

I just noticed something with the new interface. On the previous app iteration, you could switch the night vision right from the live view screen. It was there at the top right corner. Now it’s gone and the only way to switch from Auto to ON or OFF needs to be done through the settings interface. Not a good move in my opinion.

Yesterday I started getting Motion notifications, all my cameras are on Cam Lite and one is on Cam Plus. So I went into the app Settings>Notifications>Events and I got greeted with this.

It only affects Cam Lite and app version 3.7. Resetting Services and clearing the cache does nothing. Reverting to production version 3.6.5 solves the issue.

I think they just reverted back to the old UI for Cam V3 today even though I am still on Wyze Android app 3.7.0.b690.

The notification menu works again when you access Camera Settings > Notifications > Manage Events, but this is pretty funny.

Funny is an understatement

Makes me cautious upgrading the app as I don’t want to get bombarded with motion notifications

I’ve noticed that the new camera UI is no longer available. This is the case even if I downgrade to the previous Wyze App 3.7 Beta. Also the camera offline notification option does not appear.

Are these features in A/B testing or otherwise disabled for certain accounts?

In the Wyze App 3.7 RC version the video for Wyze Video Doorbell v1 is still loading rotated 90 degrees.

Did you send this to my iOS devices today. I’m not touching it, nothing in the release notes or WYZE News.

I think that’s the same version number of the beta I had that disabled my Person notifications and bombarder me with Motion detections. Go ahead and update, you don’t use Cam Lite, you should be fine. My V4 on Cam Plus was fine, had no issue with it. The only issue I had wren my V3s on Cam Lite.

The last beta in Testflight looks like 3.7.0 (6) not (8), so not sure. It may be the prod release. I am looking to see as well.

My iOS device is only for testing

Thanks but no thanks. I want to read all this got “Broken” post first.

You might be right, just like @Antonius I’ll wait and see what happens as I won’t have the option of going back on iOS.
