I’ve got basically the same issue, it crashes about every 3-4 hours, rebooting, turning the ipad off & on again, and rebooting router doesn’t fix it, deleted & reinstalled doesn’t fix it ether, never did this before and I’ve been running it for years
For whatever is worth, I’ve started experiencing crashes on my iPad, iOS 16.7.12 and Wyze app 3.8.7 (13). It happened two-three times over the course of past three days. Not a deal breaker for me but curious what’s causing it. I’ll keep an eye and see what unfolds.
Mine crashes as well and I am on the beta release. If it bothers you that much, have you reached out to support as Wyze doesn’t monitor all the threads on the forum.
Since installing 3.8.7.3, the app crashes 4+ times per day. I use this on a dedicated iPad to monitor my camera feeds. I upgraded because of the new “security” update. Now it crashes frequently, which it rarely did before.

Tested on 2 different iPads. One at iPad OS 18.0 and the other at 17.1.1. I started the Wyze app on both at 21:45 and both stopped at 04:17. Previous tests indicate this version stops after roughly 7 hours.

Upgraded iPadOS to 26.2, then installed Wyze app version 3.9.0.7. The crashing problem is NOT fixed! Again, it runs about 7 hours and stops. I have an older iPad running version 3.6.5(5) and it runs without crashing for days on end.
It’s not the end of the world, but it is annoying. Based on some of the reviews I’ve read and the comments here, it seems Wyze introduced this issue in version 3.8.7.3 and have not figured it out yet.
Updated 12/25/2025. Installed version 3.9.1.1. on 12/24/2025. Same problem with app stopping after approximately 7 hours. iPad already at latest (26.2). I removed the Wyze app and installed a new copy. Again, the app crashed after 7 hours. Maybe some day Wyze will figure this out. Until then, I can no longer recommend this as a solution for home monitoring.
