For those watching this topic who haven’t already done so, I’d recommend finding the relevant Wyze News and/or Beta announcement topic for whichever specific Wyze app version you’re using and post about it there. I think submitting app logs and sharing those Log IDs with Wyze Support is a good idea too, and I’d also advise sharing those same Log IDs and incident reports in the appropriate announcement topic for better visibility to Wyze.
As noted earlier in this topic, Wyze Forum is primarily a user-to-user support community with no guarantee that anyone from Wyze will read or respond to a particular topic or post; however, since only Wyze Team members are allowed to create topics in the Wyze News and Beta categories, posting to topics in those categories is one way to increase visibility to Wyze for a particular issue.
Found this thread on Google after experiencing the same issue on my iPad. App crashes several times a day. I’ve tried reinstalling Wyze and even restoring the iPad to factory settings, setting up as new, and installing Wyze and no other apps (I only use this iPad as a camera feed). Still crashing.
Still no fix for this as of version 3.13.0.18 (5/4/2026). With each new release I test on two different iPads as I previously noted. I’ve sent logs to Wyze and they do reply periodically stating they are still working on it. They include an offer of a $15 credit to the Wyze store. I’m not interested in buying any more products until the app gets fixed. It’s likely for many people this is not something they would notice, but I use an iPad as a security camera monitor. Sure, I can simply start the app back up after a crash, but my older iPad running version 3.6.5(5) continues to run for several days without a crash.
This latest version ran about 5 hours before crashing, so it seems the problem is getting worse.
It may be time to find another brand that can meet my needs. Anyone have any suggestions?
TP Link’s Tapo range is probably the closest in terms of value, and has RTSP support which means you can use it with whatever software you want.
However I have chosen to purchase wired cameras to replace all of my Wyze devices.
BTW Wyze also offered me $15 store credit. I asked for the ability to stream via web browser until this iPad issue is fixed, but they rejected that suggestion.
Will we hit a full year with this problem still unsolved, I wonder?
I am heaving the same issue on iphone the wyze app is just crashing and I am not able to use it. Tried restarting device, uninstalling and installing app but no luck
Updated app to version 3.14.0.56 on 5/29. It continues to crash after about 5 hours, so no change. Have not heard from support in many weeks, so it seems there is no effort to fix this. It’s been an issue since November 2025.
If you don’t use the app as a 24/7 camera monitor it probably won’t bother you, but for those of us that do, this is REALLY annoying.
I am still running version 3.6.5(5) on an iPad with iPadOS 15.7.7 and that version runs for 5-6 days before it crashes. I’m sure at some point Wyze will stop supporting that and I’ll have to use a newer version and deal with restarting the app a few times a day until I make a decision on what to do. Most likely Wyze will not be on my list.
