Wyze app has no option of continuous recording

I have SD cards in all cameras and in base station but my app does not give me the option of continuous recording as shown on YouTube or on other forums? Went into advanced settings and it not there. What am I missing?

So you are saying your app does not have this section under “Advanced Settings”? Not sure that is possible?

Now when I got my first camera many years ago I did not push the SD Card in all the way till it clicked and locked into place and camera/app did not detect it. Are you sure the card is pushed all the way in?

@Buzzkill Since you are using a battery powered camera I would not recommend doing continuous recording to the SD in the camera. The SD in the Battery Powered WCO Version 2 is for Scheduled event recording, Time Lapse and Travel mode. The SD in the base will record backup event videos but not if you are using Cam Plus, backup to the base will work with Cam Plus Lite. If you really want to do continuous recording open the app, tap the cam to live view then at the bottom of the app tap more and go to scheduled event recording. You can set it to record motion only events up to 30 days, no cooldown period, and a max event video duration up to the max off 5 min. per video.
You can also set it for continuous recording to the SD in the cam but be advised your battery will be drained rapidly. Go to this link and read about scheduled event recording:

That is correct. That option doesn’t appear on my app. The SD card is pushed in all the way as it asked me to format which I did format. I have 3 cameras. All SD cards formated in each camera.

@Antonius all cameras will be set up with the a solar panel. You are correct that I may not want continuous recording but at this point my app isn’t even giving me that option other than in scheduled.

That is correct, the only place you can set it is in scheduled event recording. The videos are saved in the camera album and to view you must tap the download icon to view the videos, they will be saved on your device. Or you could take the card out and view on a PC or device with a card reader. The shot @jsuvman posted was for a plug in camera.

OK that makes sense. Thanks. Forgot it was a battery powered camera.

@Antonius @jsuvman I really appreciate the help. Makes sense now. Time to do some house monitoring.lol

If you have an area you really need continuous recording I would get a V3, off course you need to be able to supply power to it. I have 4 of the version 1 WCO that I have been using for 2 years. Since my house only has one outdoor outlet I had to get creative to find power sources after I purchased some V3 cams since I didn’t want to drill holes through all the walls to provide power outdoors. I made it work.
