Wyze app 3.0 sucks

I have been having issues with my 26 cameras in 2 different homes ever since I updated to 3.0 .

All they can tell me is is to power cycle the camera which sometimes is not easy since some of them are in very high areas or to reboot my network. And i have done this multiple times.

Some cameras would connect better then others so i dont think its my network . While some take forever to load or never load at all

I would get disconnect devices showing in red multiple times then it reconnect by itself again .

Camera taking long or never loading .
Devices is disconnected at times . But connects back on it’s own

I never had these issues until I updated

It’s a shame Apple folk can’t revert to 2.5 like Android folk can by ‘sideloading’ an APK file. I do sympathize and advocate for them here:

As my Wyze Cams Die, Reolink replaces

And the Wyze cams I still have will NOT BE UPDATED.

This the stuff that keeps happening as well . Then without even powercycling it it connects but still slow to load or connect

Unless Wyze offers them to you at 50-75% off in which case you’ll load up on ‘spares’ and plague them for another five years about their inability to measure up. :wink:

I still have some Wyze cams, and I like to drop by now and then just to see how it’s going…

Funny though, I have Never had the need to go to the Reolink forum.

The Reolink cams just work and so far I haven’t had one issue with them. So no need to go to a forum to find solutions to problems.

Wyze promised a lot when I got onboard, most promises they failed to produce. Remember NAS for the cams

I’m finding my new cams ecosystem has everything promised by Wyze, and more.

So until all my Wyze cams have been replaced, expect me to drop by now and then.

It’s nice when you don’t have to constantly baby sit a poorly designed camera system and services.

Just had a quick look at their forum, similar posts and complaints to this one, as you would expect with any brand…

Do some research Wyze is at the bottom of the list.

I get everything and more from Reolink without the need for a subscription, let that sink in a bit.

Reolink cameras are Not Hobbled like Wyze cams are without a subscription.

I did my research when buying (let that sink in a bit) and the Wyze does exactly what I need without a subscription. I’m not saying Wyze is perfect (nor is Reolink or any of the others), but for the price and what I needed, I’m very happy with it.
