@peepeep - In what fantasy universe? Create a group and then try to open it under favorites and wait and wait and wait and then get error messages. That’s as well as or better than the old? Really . . . . .?
Didn’t have to, the 8-cam group I’ve been using for years showed up in favorites at the top, I tapped it, eight cams loaded as fast as they ever have, no errors.
@peepeep - Cable or fiber internet? Lower, same or higher than 1 gig service? How many cams is the app supporting? Trying to get some info to justify your success. Maybe you’re that 1 unique user.
Cable 500/20 about (10) cams total. Currently in favs (1) 8-cam group plus (2) individual cams streaming (one of which is also in the 8-cam group) plus (3) individual bulbs, (1) plug and (3) automations.
The two individual cams load and stream in favorites just fine.
If I try out 3.0 in one phone will previous version work in my other phones/tablets, I have disabled auto update though 3.0 has not shown up in playstore yet.
FWIW I updated my Android phone to 3.0 and left the 2.5 version intact on a BlueStacks Android emulator. The BlueStacks 2.5 formatting and function remained the same, even though I had changed the favorites arrangement on 3.0.
I tested out the beta version and deleted it after a day because it was beyond slow to load the live cameras. Today my app must have updated and all I can use is the new app. Awful. The concept of the app is great but its performance is awful. I want the original app back.
You know I can get over rearranging and creating favorites and such again. Fine the app is more difficult to use with the larger icons, especially for people when you’re approaching 20 cameras.
What I can’t deal with is it streaming 20 live streams automatically when I open the app. Who thought this was a great idea? All I need is a thumbnail, I’ll click the camera I want to view. It works real great especially in areas of low cell signal. I’d hate to guess how much data this is chewing through for people on limited data plans, or data caps on their home internet plans.
There’s lots of things to fix, and complete, this couldn’t have been anywhere near anyone’s wish list. I was really happy with Wyze up until this point. At least I wouldn’t be out much money to switch to something else at this point.
The new version is awful, slow, images don’t update in real time.
I like the loading wheel, now that that’s all I see.
Revert back to the old version until you actually try this out.
