“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” ?
With a “Bomb weather Cyclone”, due any minute.
Has anyone figured out a way to stop, “Wind Driven” Pan Cam V3 sound Notifications / Alerts ?
Details :
I need the sound notification/ alerts (4 dark back yard)
it’s already set at level one
Wind gusts (3mph+) trigger an alert
Nov to April are very windy months. (Southern NE.)
One cam picked up gusts all day and all night
Solutions - (aka Tips & or tricks) for me to try ???

In all seriousness, though, that seems like a pretty slick little solution that @StevenA shared. I dig it.
As close as the microphone is to the lens on Cam Pan v3, I wonder how much the fibers of something like that would blow around and interfere with the video, though. I’m curious about what a small piece of open-cell foam stuck on with a little tab of 3M Command Strip would do and if that would have enough effect diffusing wind noise without getting into the camera’s view. Or maybe trying something like this would be good but with the fibers trimmed back a bit (after installation) to stay out of the camera view.
