Will never buy Wyze products again

I am pissed off, recent update to Wyze app and no longer is event recording available, occasional advertising banner blocking access to view cams at the top of the app, Iphone suddenly warning about Wyze has been accessing my full photo library for the last 6 months. I have been a Wyze user for 6 years, this is the last straw, never again buying another Wyze product, if you want to gain my business you have to be better than this, Wyze developers and support people take note, fix this or not, up to you.

That has nothing to do with Wyze, that is Apple security asking you to allow Wyze to access your library so you can download and save videos.

There is no need to access my full photo library for anything, for 6 years no warning anything but today it did, I know my Iphone. Wyze is becoming more intrusive and more costly to own and operate, I am sticking to my original statement.

Limited photo access and Wyze will most likely not allowing other features to work, this is their game, they want full access, hell naw.

Limited access to your photo library has nothing to do with any other features except as I said, saving and downloading pictures and videos. With limited access you will have to tell the app what to do every time you try to save/download a video/picture. Full access bypasses app nagging you for access every time. It is your phone and your life, live it the way you please.

Yes it does, [MOD EDIT], thanks but no thanks for your input. I said I have been a user for 6 years, 6 long years, I am no noob when it comes to Iphones and Wyze products, read my post again, there are many others like me who are now starting to realize Wyze is just becoming more intrusive and more expensive to own.

I keep all my :raccoon: :raccoon: videos in the Hidden folder so WYZE can’t steal the ones I don’t post.

The Wyze hardware is good. The user interface, however is what we used to call “Mickey Mouse” software; Fantasy usability. It looks and feels like some script-kiddies got together after getting high, and each one had their own chunk of code to work on without telling the other kids what they did.

If you search the forum you’ll probably come across how I feel about the app interface, more or less exactly how you feel

I do keep my Pixel 6 Pro permissions locked down very tight. On my IPad Pro I give the Wyze App full access to my Photo Library. My IPad Pro is what I used to download Wyze videos and upload videos and pictures to the Wyze forum.

As a matter of fact most what is in my Photo Library I have posted on the Wyze forum.

Its unfortunate, Wyze was good starting out but they are quickly losing core users.

Hi, thank you.

Good for you but it should not have been like this, 2 devices just so we can limit Wyze far reaching and intrusive hands on our stuff.

It is always good to be aware of what Apps are doing on your devices.

I even have a separate Android tablet I only use for my banking and financial business (no internet browsing or non banking Apps).

Yes totally Un-hobbled subscription free Reolink :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

With NVR (Something Wyze Once Promised)

Free Edge AI onboard camera.

Tons less data usage, Wyze cams are very busy on the network even when not transferring video

More than double the warranty.

Far better customer service, Not script readers
