Why 🤷‍♀️ How do I fix this?

So this started recently and would like some suggestions on trouble shooting. Why does it do this?
(Wyze Cam 4/window mount)

Because you’re pointing it through a window, so sometimes when there is a lighting change of some kind (IR or visible light spectrum) the focal adjustment is getting a reflection from the glass.

Basically it’s doing this because of physics.

Personally, I suggest not using IR lights for a spotlight when you are pointing a camera through another piece of glass like a window. You will cause more reflections like this to occur.

Welcome to the Forum, @NorthernLights!

Based on your post, I’m not sure what the “this” is. What additional detail can you provide about what you’re trying to correct?

The upper part of the image appears to show part of the mount or window frame in the top corners, so repositioning the camera might get rid of that. If you’re talking about the “Motion detected” event, then I agree that this appears to be reflections from the camera’s IR lights. You can toggle that off at  Settings ➜ Advanced Settings ➜ Night Vision IR Lights, but only if Night Vision Mode is set to Auto or On. If you have enough ambient light in your view, then I’d try setting Night Vision Mode to Off and also ensure that Camera Status Light is toggled off to eliminate reflections from that light source.

Also, don’t forget to have the spotlight set to OFF as well.

Definitely looks like you have either the spotlight or IR lights set to come on. Both (along with the status light) should be disabled when looking through glass.

IR lights are on.

How do I set the Spotlight to off? My options are only Low/High Brightness Level, and Auto/Manual for Spotlight Control, and a Schedule. No on/off. So I have it set to Low and Manual, and the schedule is 5PM-5PM, hoping that will equal zero. Also the IR lights are off.

That should essentially be “off” unless you manually turn it on using the icon on the lower-left corner of the viewer pane on the Live Stream screen.
