Why has your latest update crashed?

Your latest update has crashed my ability to use my cams in live view and not able to view in horizontal mode.

Wyze knows and does not care, many have complained about the latest update not working well…

Yet Whyze leaves the update up to allow others to have this known problem, Wyze just sucks at Alpha & Beta testing.

The update page will remain there for individuals to pose and see what is happening. However, the Firmware update has been paused the same day it went out. So no others would be impacted.

They are working on the fix for this. Rolling the Firmware back will allow live streaming again. Some have said the previous App Release still allows for Streaming as well. Not sure about this, as I am waiting for the fix to test it.

Not sure it is paused, wasn’t it released on the 18th?

I allowed it to update yesterday :bangbang:

Had to roll back to 2.47.0 and if I go to play store it shows “Update” so that appears it is NOT PAUSED.

Picture of App version and Picture from Play Store showing the defective App is still going out…

From what I understand, the Firmware update may have caused the issue. I installed the latest app without issue and everything kept streaming. I then installed the updated Firmware and had the streaming issue.

But I encourage each to do what is best for them.

If the Firmware update has not been applied and only the app has you can then go to APKMirror and download the previous version and install it.

Please note that this is not a Wyze Recommendation but mine as I have done that before for testing purposes.

So are you saying that if I delete the App from my phone and install 2.48.0 rather than update it will work?

:arrow_double_up::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::small_red_triangle::arrow_double_up: EDIT, did the above…

Deleted App 2.47.0 and then did an fresh Install of 2.48.0 and the loading video improved.

Apparently doing the update from 2.47.0 to 2.48.0 was the issue.

Will test this 2.48.0 install for a while and report back if mote issues are found.

you don’t need to remove the app, you can do the update. However, if it is working and there is a chance it is the app, I would not risk it then.

But from my experience, I had no issues with streaming until I updated the Firmware.

Thanks for the update. I may try that as well.

Yep, I will do the same since I have the latest Beta Firmware as well.

I am NOT a Beta tester, I get enough testing on the releases unfortunately

Nope a fresh install is slightly better but still flawed…

Rolling back to version 2.47.0
I’m done testing 2.48.0 it is defective.

Still the same issue as before for me.

LOL, yep.

Question: Do you have the Beta Firmware loaded?

No I do not participate in Wyze Beta program.

The public releases are problematic enough

Thanks. I tend to agree that the app may be the culprit. I have passed this on.

Hopefully Whyze takes it down, just think about a new customer installing version 2.48.0 then having these issues…

Makes Wyze look bad for anyone new to Wyze that received a Wyze Cam for Christmas.

Borrow Forest Kittie’s iPhone and you won’t have your issues.

Forest kitty buried the iPhone in the litter box :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Only Androids are allowed here :bangbang:
