Why does the outdoor cam come with a base station? Is this required? Can i not connect an outdoor cam directly to my home wifi like the rest of my Wyze cameras? Is the purpose of the base station to just extend the wireless signal?
The base station provides the wifi connection to the Outdoor cam. The camera cannot connect directly.
Because the camera is battery powered the base is needed to save battery drain , the base does all the work using power
