I notice that my indoor cam has its auto night view on (has red lights) on when I know I’ve turned the camera off from my app. Why is that? And how do I make sure it doesn’t turn on without me knowing?
Turning the camera off from the app simply disables recording and live view. I’m not sure if the IR lights turn off also. If you check the status light on the back you can see if it’s recording or being live viewed.

Check to make sure you don’t have any Schedule or Trigger Rules running that would turn the cam on automatically. Also be sure that this isn’t a Shared Cam that someone else can also control.
If you use the App to turn off the cam in the Device List, the IR Emitters (red dots) shouldn’t be coming on. You can test this by toggling the On\Off while the cam is in IR Night Vision On mode.
Lastly, if you want to be 100% positive it can’t be turned back on, add a smart plug to the socket so that you can fully power off the cam rather than just turning it off from the app.
