When my pan-cam (or even the fixed cam) captures a critter it only records for a few seconds. Where in the app can I set that recording time to be longer?
I have SD cards in all of my Wyze cameras set to Continuous Recording. When i find an interesting Cloud Event video, i can jump to the SD card and see everything.

I agree with the advice to use microSD cards (preferably endurance-rated cards from reputable manufacturers) set for continuous recording in order to minimize the chances of missing something. You could also try increasing your motion detection sensitivity setting (for the Cam Pan v4 that you tagged, you’d find that at Settings ➜ Detection Settings ➜ Motion Sensitivity) to see if that makes a difference in your recording length. With a higher sensitivity, the number of pixels that must change for the camera to detect motion should be lower, which means that smaller frame-to-frame changes in the image should be interpreted as parts of motion events and may be more likely to be included in recordings. That might increase the lengths of your cloud recordings, especially if you’re trying to capture smaller animals, but it’s something you’ll probably just have to play with in order to strike the balance you’re seeking.
