Our hub suddenly stopped working on Tuesday.
My wife tried rebooting it, plugging it in another outlet…etc nothing worked. She called customer support and they tried the same kinda stuff while I the phone with her. Nothing worked. They asked for her to send a proof of purchase and the back of the device via email then they’ll get back to her. Which she did. Turns out the device we bought in December of 2021 is no longer under warranty and there’s nothing that can be done but to buy another one.
The wife is annoyed to put it kindly because she’s about to join me for her first vacay after a very difficult year and there’s no reason why a barely 4 years old device should stop working.
Now, she quickly orders the new hub paying extra for the express shipping so it could arrive today Thursday…we’re yet to receive the tracking number. She contacted customer support yesterday for an update and after another long hold they’re saying it is still processing and we’ll receive a tracking info once it is shipped. It should have been shipped already, though?!!!
Today is Thursday, no one has gotten back to us, we still have not received any tracking info, our alarm system is useless without the hub and this is creating a very stressful situation right before going out of town.
The customer support used to be a bit annoying but now this is being infuriating. What’s happened with this company?
Also, any tips on salvaging the hub would be appreciated.
