What happens to 24hr. cloud recording when home network is down or experiencing power outage?

Is there any way to have continuous recording backup? Like a NAS-like homebase?

Thanks

Yes, there are ways to record to an NAS, but it requires third party help, such as Scrypted, Docker Wyze Bridge, Tiny Cam Pro, or custom firmware to get an RTSP stream, then run that to recording software to store an an NAS.

Most people just use a microSD card and tell it to record continuously there. It will continue to record even if the internet goes out

As for power, no, the cameras don’t record if they don’t have power. You can connect them to a batter backup though. Then they will continue to record when they lose power. Or, the Battery Cam Pro comes with a battery backup if you use that one.
