I’ve been posting a lot on the Sci-Fi and Watercooler Music threads lately. It got me thinking, what are your Top Things Of Interest after Wyze equipment? I will start.
Smart Home Technology and Innovation (strong focus toward Home Assistant recently)
Wyze in particular, especially enjoy my role as a “Maven” to help others and leverage my knowledge of Wyze products, information curation and dissemination, building positive environments, etc.
Tech and electronic gadgets in general
Science
Home Lab with self-hosting
Generative AI (I use most of the major cloud AI’s and self host a dozen local ones and a startup that is running 5 local LLMs to allow HIPPA compliant data analysis, etc)
Bitcoin (judge me if you want, but don’t hate me I truly think it’s going to revolutionize the world in more than just “decentralized money” and I dislike all the “NGU Hype”…it’s just in it’s speculation phase right now similar to how TCP/IP had to go through a similar phase with the dot com bubble before the internet evolved to become amazing, but similarly it will eventually mature and evolve to something extraordinary in the long run and not be all about money and NGU bros)
Market Disruption and Competition
Problem Solving
Knowledge, Information Gathering, and Staying Informed (I would be REALLY susceptible to the Odyssey’s “REAL Siren Song” (Prospect of knowledge)
Books (Paper, Electronic, and Audiobooks) (Note that I read LOTS of kinds of books, but when it comes to fiction, my favorite is Fantasy and SciFi, but I also read a lot of non-fiction and other kinds of fiction too…I have thousands of books)
I particularly enjoy entrepreneurial ventures, Market Analysis, financial knowledge, etc.
Data analytics and visualization
Research on Justice & Rehabilitation (I also did a lot in college related to these topics)
Law (I also used to work as a legal assistant for a law firm)
Hypothetical and abstract concepts
Reality and perception
Metaphysics
Advanced technology
Temporal and Existential Exploration
Psychological and Sociological topics and knowledge
Specific Life Goals and Self-Sufficiency
Animals
Haiti, Haitians, Haitian Kreyòl
Semantics, nuanced language and social dynamics
Historical analysis and misinformation
Counter-convention
Logic
MMA
Chess (I play chess, casually, EVERY DAY)
[Unpopular Opinion…not totally serious]: Complete and utter global gen0c1de of all wasps, hornets, mosquitoes, and let the consequences fall where they may (note: even destruction of all honey bees as collateral damage is acceptable if it achieves this goal). (Note that actual studies indicate that in places where all bees actually get wiped out, other pollinators always filled in the gaps. Plus we could use machine pollinators to help) {Note, I am not really sure how strongly I truly believe or support this, but I enjoy pushing the concept anyway just for fun because I really do dislike all of the above. I’d be more likely to support a genetic mutation/virus that removes all their stingers, etc.} =It’s okay, you can hate me for this one.
There you go, plenty of things to choose from to judge and have a lower opinion of me now I’m sure I overlooked and left some out.
My first dog was a Golden Retriever. Then we got a Shelty (Shetland sheepdog). Both were great.
I love dogs , but Now that I’m out on my own, I don’t have one because they’re very high maintenance. Now I just like visiting other people’s dogs, or watching them for them sometimes.
One of these days I need to watch the entire original Star Trek series. I saw a whole ton of random episodes out of order at night growing up never actually watched the whole thing.
I’m currently in the middle of watching Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek Picard. I have strange new worlds on my list of things to get to as well.
