A small addition to this thread. I own a condo in a complex of 159 units. We are going to vote on a system to detect water leaks and shut off the valve. These systems cost upward of $1700 AND they want to use a SIM card instead of wifi. Seems this is getting popular with large condo buildings. Would love to have the Wyze option for something like this. A shutoff valve would be a logical next step for the sensors (though you would need a plumber to install).

I need a way to shut off the water in the house when on vacation. I would like to have a professional (or I could do this) to cut the main line water from the meter shut off valve coming to the house. There are simpler ways now to cut and repair piping. Then insert a Wyze spinner and Wifi valve shut off so that when the spinner is moving I know that water is flowing and it should not since nobody is home.

I would get an alert from the Wyze app and hit shut the water off.

Also, with my setup, when you go on vacation you can just kill the power to the main valve and open a faucet. With no pressure on the home water system you have very little potential for a leak.
