If you rely on this service for security, 24/7 support, or want devices that will last longer than a couple months after the limited warranty, find another provider.
I don’t understand why it is so difficult to honor product warranties, be clear about what is covered (T&C) if you buy from another retailer (Amazon) instead of the Wyze site, or have compassion for any users that RELY on these devices and services for safety and peace of mind.
They don’t honor warranties for items bought as a bundle or from Amazon. manufacturer warranties aren’t explicitly defined if you buy anywhere else than Wyze.com . And if suddenly every device you bought craps out & you don’t receive ANY direct e-mail or call from Wyze, what’s the point? If someone broke in overnight & my sensors don’t go off while I’m waiting days or weeks for customer support to reply or give any answer, why am I paying for this service or using it if the support isn’t round the clock?

They don’t honor warranties for items bought as a bundle if it isn’t directly from the Wyze online store. Example: A Wyze camera from Amazon does not qualify for warranty coverage.

I did a warranty swap on a cam from amazon no problem, they are an authorized reseller, in fact they ship most of their cams from amazon even when you order from them (and many warranty replacements come from amazon too).
These are not security cams, no matter what wyze wants you to think.
If you need constant 24x7 reliability, look at a hardwired system with NVR that is designed for the task.

My first experience with Wyze support today sure seemed like they are following insurance company protocol. First step is to deny the warranty claim regardless of its validity and hope that the customer gives up. They told me that the activation date for my WYZE floodlight didn’t match the Amazon order date, but they wouldn’t tell me what they see for an activation date. I ordered it on September 10, 2025 and the device info on the app shows the activation date as September 14, 2025. So yeah, the dates don’t match because I couldn’t install it the day before I received it. If WYZE doesn’t want to ruin their brand reputation, they need to be more transparent. We’ll see what the next phase of their protocol is - but based on the first hour of my time that they wasted, I don’t have high hopes.
Update: Sure enough, phase 2 was outright denial of any responsibility, citing “If you are able to provide a different proof of purchase for this product, please feel free to send it over for review, since we can’t disclose the activation date, and we can only cross-check the MAC address you sent for verification.”
So why won’t they disclose what they say the activation date is supposed to be? So that nobody can prove what they are claiming is an outright lie, of course. This company has become a criminal enterprise.
