So I have downloaded Bluestacks, Nox, and Android Studio. I am running both at the same time, so that I can have two different cameras open on my screen at the same time. I’m also looking at my Task Manager. BS is running at 5.4% CPU while Nox is running at 8.9%, BS is using 76.6MB RAM, while Nox is 112.6 MB RAM

It’s nearly the end of 2020 and we still need to run emulators to access these cameras direct on a desktop computer, I’m 61 and have been around this stuff while it was still an idea in peoples minds, I find it profoundly sad that were still in the 1990’s with this.

I am experiencing a problem with BlueStacks… when I open one of my four cameras in expanded view, Frankly, it menacing because when I click through to open the camera view back up, I have to readjust the size of the view each time.

@geomiklas These are awesome comparisons between the top 3 emulators! I appreciate you sharing what you are finding as to functional differences with them all. This is really great stuff.
Also, thanks to @louis.imbrogno & @Customer for the ideas to check out the other big emulators.
Meanwhile, BlueStacks has closed up again, and Nox has stayed open the whole time.

I just discovered that I can view my cameras through Alexa on a Fire Stick. I have a Fire Stick plugged in to a 24" monitor on my desk.
It works great so far although you can only view one camera at a time.
I thought it would time out but it ran all day.
I was using tinyCam on the Fire Stick. It works good too but now I have a choice.

I might get a Fire Stick and try that so that I’m not using up CPU and RAM on my PC requiring CPR.

Nope. Not Roku.
Fire Stick runs Android.
Roku runs it’s own OS.

Don’t count on it though. Normally the Alexa feed shuts off after about 10 minutes.
Yea, that’s what I thought.
I’ve only used it one day. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

I already have a Firestick on a TV and I tell Alexa “launch TinyCam Pro on FireTV” to change from a news station to my camera displays. For a dedicated viewer I personally prefer a smaller tablet. Also I think the Firestick might have worse performance than my Fire HD tablet. (It probably shouldn’t technically, but the feeds look rougher to me.)

So far Alexa has been showing my Driveway cam for >2 hours this morning.
Update;
Alexa died at 3.5 hours. I can live with that.
