I have no idea what has changed, but suddenly two of our cameras won’t show the playback. Of course, they’re the main ones I use this option for. Any suggestions as to what may have happened, I would sure appreciate it.

Can you provide a detailed description or a screenshot of what is happening within the app when you try to access the SD Card Video Playback?
Are you clicking the View Playback bar at the bottom of the Event Viewer UI or the one at the bottom of the Live Stream UI?
What App version and Cam Firmware version is installed?
Thank you for responding! Instead of seeing the playback, the message shown is, “No video at the selected time.” One of the cameras is a Web Cam Pan, Firmware Version 4.10.9.2351. The other is a Wyze Cam v2, Firmware Version 4.9.91851. I always choose the View Playback bar at the bottom of the Live Stream and have never had any issues seeing it until a couple of weeks ago. I did change my subscription by combining all four cameras to a yearly fee, but I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. Two of the cameras still show me playbacks, but these two have stopped. I am not any type of whiz when it comes to things like this, I know just the basics, so I hope I’ve answered your questions correctly.
It could be one of several different issues causing the problem. Go into the SD Card Recording settings in the Advanced Menu and double check that the Record to microSD settings is still on. It also doesn’t hurt to unplug the cams to power cycle them with a fresh boot up.
It may be that the SD Cards have either corrupted or failed. I would try reformatting them in the cam and if that doesn’t help, replace them with a known good or new card and see if that improves the situation. You can also take the SD Card out of the cam and read it in an external reader to double check if the cam is saving files to the Record folder.
The second possibility is that the cams are loosing bandwidth connectivity with the router due to a new or nearby device causing interference or recent changes to your network. When you view the Live Stream and the SD Playback, there should be a KB\s number shown that indicates the transfer rate. When this issue happens, is the number shown 0.0? That would indicate there is no data being transferred from the cam to the app.
I reformatted the Pan Cam SD card, and it still wasn’t working when I started this reply. When I checked the KB number, it was showing anywhere from 72 to 110 KBs. I hit View Live Stream and there was still nothing, so I closed it out again and tried once more. IT’S NOW WORKING! Holla! The funny thing is, I did absolutely nothing to the other camera’s SD card and THAT one is also working now. Two weeks of nothing and now, voila! I can’t thank you enough for you help, I really appreciate it!

Chiming in on this thread, my Wyze Cam Pan v2 stopped recording to the SD card, no longer accessible from remote for looking at playback. I tried dozens of things like reformatting the SE cars (failed), power cycling, re-setting up the camera, and more. I ended up removing the SD card, power cycling, and putting the card back in and it appears to be working again. Probably could use a reformat now which I’ll try.
Seems to be that the uploading of video stopped because of the memory card, not the camera or something that Wyze changed.
I have been having about the same problem for a long time now, after 3 updates, and a firmware update, this is still going on for me.
android App 2.48.1.381 and Cam Firmware version is 4.36.11.7095
clicking the View Playback bar at the bottom of the Event Viewer UI
I see some notifications of movement, in app, only 2 of the 13 videos are shown, using the card in the Laptop, even though they are all listed, I receive notifications of movement, hardly anything is recording even though the record to SD card is on. Sometimes I do not get a notification, but it shows there was some movement with no video recorded. It is the 3rd new card.
Wyze Cam v3
no new changes to the network
the card does have 2 videos on it, after about 13 notifications of other movement alerts. The Wi-Fi is about 5 feet away from the camera. The Beta has been turned off for a while now, because of nothing but this problem.
I’m still having the issue on and off, so I just gave up. Sometimes I have playback, and sometimes I don’t.
This has been going on for about 1.5 years for me. I emailed the company, said I was having problems with it, they said I could send it back for another camera. I am not sure if I would want another one, it probably would end up with the same problem.
I have the same issue cannot view playback on phone. I have access to my Dads cam and from his iPhone I can view the playback videos not sure why. Could the problem be in the browser I’m using Safari and Google, my dad is using only Google? This is been going on for a month now, does anyone have a suggestion?
The browser has nothing to do with the app, the app has its own video program. It does use the internet/cell service to connect one to the other.
Are you trying to view SD card footage on cameras that are shared to you?
I found I could not view video events on a shared camera. It did give me a pop-up stating such. I could only see thumbnails.
It was odd. His first shared cam had a greyed-out playback button. I did see what he saw. He replaced the defective camera and I noticed the playback was no longer greyed-out. I can only see thumbnails in both cases. Too bad you cannot assign more permissions to do that.
I figured I would see this down further that you are still having this problem I, too have been having this problem on and off for years now. I been on chats with WYZE…totally useless and wasting more time and money. This company used to be good…now, no way! I have dozens of customers with WYZE products because of me…I feel so bad. I will NEVER recommend Wyze again.
I have this problem too. My SD card is set to record continuously, but when I view playback and go back it only shows “No video at the selected time”. I have restarted. Not reliable at all.
I can view the playback of the camera from one cell phone but, when I try the event view from the second phone there are no events under the event viewer. This is rather alarming to me since I purchased the camera for security use.
Were the videos deleted after they were viewed on the first phone?
Have you tried closing the app, reboot your phone, then restarting it?
Yes. It doesn’t work. I can only see playback for past 3 days.
