Video Doorbell

Ring has a Peep hole replacement with camera for $200 !! I guessing WYZE could do a much better price point product. There are a lot of peep holes in the world.

Agreed, would love to see this as well

Definitely liking the thought of a Wyze peephole cam… Especially at a Wyze price point.

That’s pretty cool

That’s really really cool!!

I keep hearing this is coming. Do you have an estimated date?

No, there is no estimated date at this time. However, when this topic’s tag changes to “testing”, that will mean Wyze is getting closer to a final product.

Please keep me in mind when testers are needed

Please see this post: How To Become A Beta Tester. It contains a link for how to become a beta software or hardware tester. You chances of being selected for hardware testing are greater the more you participate, including being active in the software beta testing.

I would like a doorbell option that would tie into the existing Waze cam. Additionally this would extend battery life, lower cost, and possibly increase adoption rate allowing users to extend the system incrementally.

I’m giving some feedback on a cheap $50 doorbell I bought to give y’all something to chew on. Everything in general is very nice, the sound and video. It’s on a foreign server so it lags some but my main issue is the detection options. It has always detecting to off and one other setting. 5 seconds before recording. 5 seconds is too long to record anything useful. I’m already going in my house after 5 seconds.
I added a link so you can get some specs on it though I can’t remember exactly where I bought it. The optional multi music chime that came with doorbell was also great. If I can add pictures I will. I bought an 1080p version.

I wish you guys will make a replace unit that i replace my Ring doorbell. After 15 installation of Wyse cam, I truly believe you guys can destroy their market if you make a similar product.

Problem with Eufy’s doorbell is that it is about the same price as Ring can be had for. I have Eufy lights and generally have been pleased with them, but not enough to pay that much. though I am looking at one of there remote vacuums if cheap enough on prime day.

If you do build please also take in consideration the angle of the cam so that it covers floor mat area where most packages are dropped off especially for apt and condo

Create video door bell with dual power option ( battery or hardwired). The chime to be sold with the bell plugs into interior wall outlet and has slot for micro SD card. No other bell has this feature, all only offer cloud storage for $$$$$$.

Doorbell is fine, but I want to make sure that it’s recording regardless of whether they press the button or not.

Curious why you want an SD card in the chime. I would understand the camera/doorbell, but why the chime?
I’ve had SkyBell HD for years ( after multiple generations of Ring failed) and there is no monthly subscription.

Well seeing it’s in development, looks like your wish will come true

Not all are cloud based and not all cloud based charge

I kind of agree that remote storage would be a good idea, I know that the Eufy doorbell the storage is internal so if someone robs / smashes the doorbell you have lost your footage

Think all video doorbells work off motion detection & presses
