Video Doorbell Pro not responding to automations

My video doorbell pro stopped responding to automations to turn on/off motion detection. I’ve waited to post here after I got the chance to reset the device, delete it from the app, and re-add it. I also tried setting up an automation to turn on/off motion detection just for the video doorbell pro and nothing. The history icon in the automation section even says ‘success.’ oddly enough if I set up an automation to turn on/off notifications for the doorbell that works. I am just unsure what the actual issue is, wondering if anyone has experienced this before?

I’m having the same issue with my video doorbell pro. The motion detection on/off automations used to work, but not any longer.
Any response from Wyze on this?

No helpful response. I did submit a ticket with logs but all I got was a ‘your product is out of warranty, have a great day’ type of response. (Ticket 4168913). I was hoping somebody would look at the logs i submit. I even noted the log ID in the ticket. Oh well.

That is unfortunate. Support ends after warranty. Hopefully someone in the forum can help.

Can those with issues post a screen shot of their automations, and make sure all actions are listed? Also, post a screen shot of the automations history when the automation should have triggered. Is there even an entry in history? If there is. Does it say failed? Succeeded? History viewer is the house icon on the automations tab.

I’m having the same issue since about the same time you posted this, simply automating turning on/off motion detection. I have not been able to resolve this either.

Yeah, I did post screenshots as requested by a mod but they are volunteers and now that the cam duo is out I’m not sure how much attention this bug will actually get.

If you are able to post screenshots maybe that will help get more eyes idk.

It is definitely annoying to have to go into the cam settings each time to turn motion detection on and off

This has randomly started working again just yesterday. No firmware update, no app date that I can see. I have done nothing different. I was just going about my normal arming procedure of hitting the automation to turn on motion detection and then manually click into the doorbell pro and it already showed ‘detecting motion.’ I tested it a few times and it has continued to work (shrug)
