Video Doorbell Pro Battery Saver Notification

I have had the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro for over 6 months now and I think it’s a great product.

However, the relentless battery saver pop up needs changing. I am constantly seeing the pop up when viewing the livestream after fully closing the app out and reopening it later.

I am consistently selecting the “do not ask again” button and continuing with the prompt to the motion detection sensitivity settings. I am on the second lowest sensitivity and have found the lowest to be insufficient for my front door.

Following those steps should stop the pop up from coming back. At least that’s the logic I would expect
to be implemented. If I am incorrect on this, please educate me on how this system works. This has been a problem for me since day one of owning this product.

I am getting less of a battery life than the 6 months stated which is why I am assuming this pop up keeps happening. I am totally fine with charging the doorbell every 3-4 months with my current settings. (I’m not 100% sure on the timeline of charging because it’s not often it needs it)

I have also selected the do not ask again button in combination with the cancel button. I have no way of knowing, but I suspect that wouldn’t work for my problem anyway. I believe the cancel button is only to get rid of the pop up and is not tied to the do not ask again button. Again, that is mainly speculation/what I would expect. I am by no means a software engineer so I could be totally off base.

I’ve been getting this same notification despite the fact that my doorbell pro is hardwired into wall power. Clearly a bug with the app, I shouldn’t be getting battery protection notifications at all. Or it should at very least respect the “Do not ask again” checkmark.
