Battery Life on Wyze Video Doorbell Pro has been greatly impacted

My doorbell-pro has somehow been impacted by battery life. Battery just to last around 6-8 months. For the last 4-6 weeks, the battery depletes in 2 weeks. I had to make arrangement for 3 charges in the last 6 weeks.

What has changed? Need to get this fix since I need to monitor this properly.

Have you changed anything like enabling AI detection (person, package, etc) or other settings that may make it be more active?

Only other thought is how old is the camera? Could just be that the battery has hit its maximum recharge cycles, Lithium rechargeable batteries fall off pretty quickly as they reach end of life.

I’m not sure if that cam has the option of powering/charging from the doorbell wiring but if so and you have that set up, maybe your transformer is dying? If you were getting 6-8 months before I have to imagine you have some hard wired power assisting it.

I noticed the latest version of the app allows you to select devices to show up permanently, perhaps its filming all the time?

I have not updated to the 3.x Android app yet (still on 2.50.9(512)).
My video doorbell pro battery lasts MUCH longer than my Battery Cam Pro.
It also charges MUCH faster than the Battery Cam Pro.
Does anyone have both of these devices that can comment?
I have the Battery Cam Pro pretty well tuned for battery longevity I thought?
Detection Sensitivity 2 (LOW) with a 20ft distance and no detection zone.
Motion Detection is ON with Smart Detection Events.
There is an SD card in there, but only to record the few events it gets daily.
Firmware up-to-date at 1.4.1.2289
Notification is only for Low Battery (which it got yesterday).
Thanks
