Re Suggestions :
At the moment I need to have continuous recording on, can’t afford to miss anything to 5 min gap in events
"Before posting " Yep - next time
Re : Edit
I’m in UK, so router info may not be any help
Router : technicolor : DGA0112NLK
Wi-fi in house : is a Tenda Mesh - 36 devices connected 2.4G/5G
Advanced setting : no visibility of anything with those sort of names
This is not true and is a common misconception. Even during server cooldowns, SD “Events Only” recording still records.
Server and SD recording are independent of each other.
Mate, it’s a 5 min break in NOTIFICATION, not recording… Wyze are so poor at what they do, they cannot even create a table of features and limitations for free vs other 2 (soon to be 3) plans.
It just doesn’t notify you. But it does for me. I get notifications 2-3min later without an issue “Beep beep” on my phone. I have Event Only recording. I can usually see 5-10sec before the motion/movement.
But regardless, who seriously wants constant notification for public area cameras? You only check when something has gone wrong. Parcel stolen, theft, breakage, vandalism, odd things happening, break ins, etc.
You would use a motion sensor, human presence sensor, etc if you want a proper system to notify of activity close or inside your premises.
If you want to check activity, just loon look at the events tab.
I don’t need the Notifications as such , BUT I do need to track (Events) the comings and goings thru a door so have an SD card in camera.
For me Events are certainly missed ( not tracked on the Events page) if they occur too close to each other, but I have the SD recording to fall back on to get a screen shot to prove something happened
As I understand it ( and experience it) if the Event is not tracked on the events screen then Wyze would not have captured it on their cloud so no proof for me
Maybe contact Wyze by email and give them your wish list.
Find out exactly how to achieve it w/o upgrading the specific camera.
See if something can be tweaked (like sensitivity, etc) for you to have each event recorded. Sound should be able to trigger recordings too. Unless you’re a dojo with ninjas coming and going??
