Vehicle Detection zone

I have a V3 hooked up to a lamp socket & everything is working well . Just one thing I have my detection zone set up very small & well off the road…But no matter what I do I keep getting detections & the light goes off when a vehicle drives by. Any trick I can do to stop this

Are there any vehicles parked anywhere in the Included Detection Zone?

When vehicles drive by, is there any reflection or change in lighting (headlights) near the edges of the Excluded\Included Detection Zone?

Do you have CamPlus?

Also, what type of notifications are you getting? Motion?

The AI doesn’t discriminate between moving cars and parked cars. If there is any motion that triggers an upload event, any car in the field of view will be tagged regardless of if it is moving or not.

If the passing car is causing lighting changes on the edge of the DZ, when the AI sees that motion, it’s “Overlap” coding considers the entire object, even if it is within the Excluded DZ.

Working with parked cars and Vehicle Detection is a rough road. Since the car can be parked a bit differently each time, the DZ may have to be tweaked occasionally.

Please note that the Detection Zone is only used to determine if there is an Event. If there is, the entire event is sent for processing and can result in the car being tagged.

On your Event Recording Screen, do you have All Motion on? If so, you can try and turn it off and only select the AI items you would like to record and minimize the amount of events which could trigger the camera.
