v2 not recording, not sure what the symbol is in bottom left hand corner of the froze recording

Not much to go on here. Screenshot? CamPlus? CamPlus Lite? No subscription?

Under event recordings, I do not have the options recording type or video only.
I have detects motion, detects sound and they are both on

You need at least cam plus lite (free) to have event videos. Refer to the link above

So you have any cloud services on the camera?
Cam plus? Cam plus lite?

This was an early option of cam plus lite where you had the option to choose if you still wanted images or video events. That toggle/option has since been hidden and it automatically saves videos when you have the CPL on the camera.
