Hi, I’m trying to determine if the Wyze Camera OG will work on IP CAM Viewer Pro. I use a bunch of other cameras with IP Cam Viewer Pro, so I strongly prefer to use this method.
Has anyone gotten this working?
Thanks in advance,
J

If it relies on RTSP then no it won’t work.
Only one I’m aware of is Tinycam and there are a few apps you can run on docker/linux locally, but they all basically stream via wyze servers using your login, sort of emulating the Wyze app.
Welcome to the Forum, @jimbo3!
If you’re talking about this app in Google Play Store, then the description includes a link to a page with a table of supported devices, and Cam OG isn’t on that list (though there are references to older Wyze Cam models using the no-longer-supported RTSP firmware and/or non-Wyze firmware). Also, Wyze has been pretty public that the Cam OG models differ quite a bit from their regular Cam versions because at the time of those models’ development (at least as I understand it) they had a hard price ceiling that they were trying to meet in order to get back to their ~$20 camera roots, so the OG cameras incorporated some cost-cutting measures that are unique to that line. I say that to say that firmware hacks developed for some Wyze Cam models may not work with Cam OGs. I think you’ll have to do your own research for that.
