Unknown voices heard from WYZE camera

I have the same annoying issue… I really don’t care if it’s my brain trying to make sense of artifact compression or if it’s some Chinese dead people lol i just want to have clear accurate audio… in todays day and age why is that not easily done? I have a video I wanted to upload to this forum but “ new users can’t upload videos” for some odd reason

Hi keithedwardlewis and welcome to the Community forum.
Read other posts, noodle around the forum a bit. You’ll be able to post video soon.

You can’t post or are you hearing voices?

I hear the :raccoon: gang talking all the time on the V4 critter cam.

It is real and not a figment of my imagination. However the ramifications of it have now caused irreversible damage among my family and friends. Fix the issue Wyze. Unsettling doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Sorry to open this up again after so long, but I’ve recently discovered the same issue on one of my cameras. I’m curious if you (or anyone else following this thread) ever found verifiable sources of the issues.

I’ve had a handful of Wyze cameras for years now and am used to the usual odd static or “clunk” noises and have always written them off as RF interference or an IR filter going on/off, etc. Recently, one camera has recorded a few sounds that I can best describe as “moaning” that lasts a 2-3 seconds. Again, I ignored it the first few times because I wasn’t alone in the house and it could have been someone yawning loudly.

Over the past few days, I’ve been alone at home and we have no pets and these sounds happened when I was on a different floor of the house. It has happened twice at nearly the exact same time on two different nights while I was upstairs quietly reading in bed. The noises were not the same, but sounded like the same person/animal was making them. I didn’t hear the noises directly, however they were recorded by the Wyze camera in question. I have a second Wyze camera in the same room and it picked up the noises as well, but very quietly, which makes me believe the source is either the first camera or something very close to it.

Just for completeness, my Wyze account has had 2FA turned on since that feature became available. I’ve also changed my account password today. Secondly, I’m not sharing my Wyze account with anyone. Third, I’ve sent logs through the app along with one video, but the success message was, “We’ve submitted some diagnostic info from the issue you ran into. You will not receive a response from our team.” so my expectation for help from that side is limited.

Anyone out there have experience with such things and figuring out the source, whether it turned out to be the Wyze cam or something else in the end? Thanks!

The folks over in Security might be a better contact than Support in this issue.
