I help people set up their camera system and then they share the image with me so that I can help them find tune it. The problem is I get their notifications and I cannot turn them off. I would like to have the notifications for my cameras, but be able to turn off the notifications from the shared cameras, while the owner still gets their notifications.
How about setting up a secondary Wyze account with a different email address?
This solution would work best if you have a designated device with the secondary Wyze account for helping people
I suppose yes that would work. I’ve just gotten used to scrolling through the cameras as I’m looking at my own to see if there’s any problem and was hoping there was an easy software solution. Thank you for your suggestion and it looks like that’s what I’ll have to do.
Unfortunately since you’re using iOS I don’t believe there are any “notification manager” apps available. Android has several that can do what you’re asking.
Unfortunately within the Wyze app you can’t turn off notifications for shared cams without turning off your own as well.
I think @StevenA’s suggestion of having two accounts on two devices is probably the only solution. I’m not sure if iOS has any “sandbox” capability where you could run two instances of the app on the same device.

I find strange that Wyze as a company wouldn’t be concerned with multiple people having multiple accounts you think that would clog their servers, but I guess not
Eh, it isn’t really that much load on the servers, they allow you to share your cams with as many people as you want, and each of those people has to create an account if they don’t already have one.
OK, thanks just not very user-friendly I suppose
Yeah the shared accounts are definitely lacking in features. You can vote on the wishlist topic(s) but in 2.5 years there really hasn’t been anything added or changed. Though there are some hints that they might possibly be getting access to the SD cards in the cams at some point.
On android the notification manager apps are quite useful and basically solve this issue but as far as I know there is nothing similar available for iOS.
There is actually a roundabout way to disable notifications on shared cams but it disables it for the “owner” too, it is a bug, and obviously the person wouldn’t be too happy about it, so I’m not going to detail it here since people shouldn’t do it.
