so I have a slight problem with my camera that I’ve been trying to figure out and can’t quite grasp why it’s doing this. My camera system worked fine giving me notifications when there’s movement. It’s able to accurately tell me if it’s a person a vehicle, etc. but when I turn off the motion warning, which is the sound of the camera makes when it starts recording. It ceases to record. I have tried restarting it and turning it off and handling it that way, or I have the system cycle every single time I click I’m leaving or I’m home. But if that sound is off, it stops recording completely. Am I missing something? I also can’t really find many topics in the forum besides it saying turn off or turn on and then reset your camera after you’ve done it but this happens every single time I do it and if I’m away, I can’t just reset my camera.
Do you mean the “you are being recorded” notification? I’ve never turned that on on my v4 (or any of my cams), but haven’t heard anyone else mention that bug.
I’d try clearing the cache in the app, and also in your OS settings for the wyze app storage. Hitting the “reset services” button can’t hurt either, just note that will reset your motion detection settings and you may have to customize them again.
All else fails, you can delete it from the app, which should factory reset it, then re-add it with a slightly different name. That should totally wipe all settings and start over.
