The photo of the photo you shared shows a mechanical chime. Are you trying to ask about installing Chime Controller for one of the Wyze video doorbells to actuate the mechanical chime? If so, then…
- Which video doorbell model are you using?
- Did the chime work prior to installing the video doorbell?
- Could you possibly share the original photo (not the photo of the photo on the phone), and does that show labels for the chime’s terminals where wires are already attached?

Using an image search, I was able to find better photos of what is apparently your chime, and in those they show that the terminals from top to bottom are FRONT, TRANS, and REAR. In addition to the questions I’ve already asked, I’m curious about the following:
- How many doorbell push buttons are you trying to use?
- Are you installing your Wyze video doorbell at the front or rear door?
- Is what you’ve shared so far intended to be the “before” photo that the Wyze app advises you to capture when installing Chime Controller?
hello!
the door bell is not installed yet and the original chimes is still connected and working
the new door bell is a V2 wired model WVDWDV2
the panflet that came with the door bell states to install the wyze controler for warranty purpose.
can’t upload a new picture
Because…? A larger and more clear photo could be very helpful if your current doorbell button and chime setup is working as expected. Given what you’ve shared so far, it appears that you might be using two doorbell buttons, because it looks like you have wires attached to this chime’s FRONT and REAR terminals, but I’m not sure.
I’m still wondering about the other questions I asked. Are you able to answer those? More detail would be helpful in understanding your current situation and how you want to use your Video Doorbell v2 (for example, if you want the new Video Doorbell v2 at your front door and also plan to use an existing “dumb” doorbell button at your rear door).
My understanding of the Chime Controller is that it’s intended to protect Video Doorbell v2 by acting as a fuse in case of a power surge. It also has circuitry that allows it to control the electrical impulse delivered to the chime (like if you’re using a digital chime and need to prolong the tone sequence).
Thank you for providing a few more details about what you’re preparing to install!
