I’ve only re-logged in 2 or 3 times since 2018 when the wyze techs have told me to try to fix problems with the cameras/app.
From the app or a browser?
From the app I have never had to re-login unless I have uninstalled/re-installed the app.
On browser every so often I have to login. Especially when using my alternate phones, laptop, etc. On my trusted phone maybe every 2 or 3 months. I don’t track it.
This is your answer. Microsoft Edge is a Chromium-based browser, and it shows up in the Trusted Devices list in the Wyze app as “Windows Chrome [three hexadecimal digits]”. I just signed into the Wyze Web site using Microsoft Edge on Ubuntu, so my Trusted Devices list now shows a new “Linux Chrome” entry.
@oskarem, yours also says “90 days”! Mine still says 30. Maybe if I get motivated I’ll purge the cache and try a new login to see what happens, but I’m also still on the v3.1.5 app, and I don’t know what you’re seeing is app version dependent. ![]()
I’ve never re-logged in from a browser. I don’t even know how. Only on my phone with the wyze app.
That’s what mine looks like.
Hmmm. What your describing is disturbing.
Just a sanity check. I use 2fa. If your not then what follows may be different in your use case.
When in the app you should never have to re-login unless you have logged out or uninstalled/reinstalled the app or Wyze has done something and forced a log out.
If you go to wyze.com and click on your account you should be prompted for your credentials, unless your device is in the Trusted Devices list.
I would look closely at what you are describing as if your able to open a browser, magically go to your account at wyze.com----you have a security issue.
I have to log in to get in this forum. I only go into this website/forum on my laptop.
Using my phone for stuff like this is WAY too cumbersome.
I’m talking about the wyze tech telling me to log out of my wyze app on my phone and then re-logging back in.
FWIW, logging into this wyze website to get to the forums has forced me to create a new password for the wyze website.
While at the same time my password for my wyze app (on my phone) stayed the same (I know this because my password was already in the password box when I re-installed cameras or installed new cameras).
However, this most recent login to this wyze website/forum (a few days ago) caused me to have to change the password on my phone. I guess wyze finally made the change to where my password for my app and my password for this website forum has to be the same.
I’m tellin ya wyze is SO high school amateur. I have NOWHERE NEAR the problems with other software as I do with wyze - not even windows!
