Timelapse for a year, not just a month

I would like to be able to schedule a one photo and hour for a year. This would give a 6 minute video

Why is there a limit of one month?

Time lapses are 1 month at a time, so you would need to set a reminder to download and reset the time lapse monthly.

Even better if it could be set to only take the photos during the day. It is easy programming.

I would definitely use this feature!

I would like the option to even just take one frame at the same time everyday, Maybe at noon everyday or something.

This would have been a perfect feature for the floodlight pros, especially if they support a time lapse. Missed opportunity there.

This doesn’t seem like something I’d use right away, but I like the idea, so I voted for it. It also makes me wonder about something like this existing request:

If it was possible to use a Schedule type Automation to save a still image from a camera every day onto its microSD card, then those could be retrieved from the card at a later point in time and compiled together into a video with a tool like FFmpeg. Allowing this kind of Action in Automations would be a way for someone to essentially schedule a perpetual time lapse with an indefinite endpoint.

Yes, it’s easy to compile images into a Time lapse video, or an animated gif.

To be honest, I actually have been planning to do this when Wyze launches their rtsp beta. I will import my camera feed into things like frigate and home assistant, and set them up to take still images in any interval I want and then compile some of those into a time lapse. So I had the exact same idea as you, and will almost definitely implement it for some of my devices.
