Thermostat fan control and schedule

Can someone please confirm that the thermostat can schedule the fan to run for a certain amount of time, but only during certain hours (say 8pm to 8am?) I use this with my current nest and rely on it heavily. Simply dont want it to run for xx minutes every hour for 24 hours.

It does it for a preset time per hour, but so far it’s every hour, not a schedule of only certain hours. If you want the fan to only cycle from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, I think the only way to currently to that is to turn on the fan cycling in the app every night at 8:00 PM and turn it back off in the morning. A schedule would be a great thing though!

This would be great and/or a couple of other thoughts:

  • a new state called fan that allows for fan only
  • direct fan on/off control as a device action

I live in a mild area where I’d like the fan to run on if temp is in a certain range, not blindly on 24/7 or X mins/hr all day/night.

It used to have it I used it last year in one of the updates they did away with it from what I can tell. I tried to talk to support about it and their answer was less than helpful. They didn’t know what they were talking about.

Does Fan Control set to a minimum of 5 min/hr mean that if I set my temp low, say 55 degrees, that regardless of temp in house, the fan will run 5min every hour to circulate air - when fan set to auto on main control? Just confirming my understanding of that feature. Thx!

Yes, that’s correct. For example, my furnace runs very little, often not at all some days because we get most of our heat from a wood pellet stove. However, I have the fan set to run 5 minutes per hour and it does even though the temp is far above the thermostat setting. I do this because the air circulating helps to even out the heat from the woodstove. When it gets fully into winter, I may set it to 10 minutes per hour.

Yes, please add a feature where you can control the amount of time the fan runs based on the time of day. For example, I want to the fan to run about 20 minutes per hour from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day. During the rest of the day, the fan can operate on auto mode. Even basic Honeywell thermostats allow fan scheduling. Please add this feature to Wyze.
