The garage door is opening itself instead of closing itself. I have an automation to close the garage door at 10:15 at night to make sure that it’s closed. Instead it keeps opening at 10:15. Sometimes it will close itself too, but it’s much more consistent at opening itself and leaving the garage door open all night.

Have you checked and calibrated the QR code on the door?
Garage doors don’t have an “open” and “close”. The button just does the opposite of whatever it currently is. The camera needs the QR code to determine the status of the door before deciding whether to run the rule or not.
You may need to print out a larger version if it isn’t close/visible enough.

I already printed a double sized QR code. The QR code is detected. The logic in the automation is wrong. Even tho the QR code is detected it still triggers the garage door opener when the door is closed, resulting in the door opening on it’s own at 10:30pm instead of checking for the closed status.
Can you post a capture of the QR code? It is true that if a closed indication is not detected, the controller will activate, which is just a reverse control of whatever position the garage door is in. So it is critical that the garage door bar code is recognized.
I just did a quick test where I said close the garage door if it is open (2 minutes later), and it left the garage door closed. It recognized via the bar code that the door was already closed.
The real test is whether the red outline is consistent. If it blinks, it will only take a short time (30 seconds?) before the controller will consider the door open. If you see the red outline disappearing at any time of day, then that would be something to focus on. FYI.
In night mode (which it is in on that picture) the reflection of the IR light off that wire or whatever is hanging in front of the camera may be causing it to calibrate poorly and not consistently detect the QR code. Can you move that wire, does the QR code show up brighter if you do? It is also a bit of an angled view instead of straight on, but I don’t think that should be a big issue.

True, the bright white wire will cause the background to be dimmer.
I have exactly the same issue, opens it at sunset and sometimes closes it. If it was open at sunset, seems to close it with no issue.
Same as mentioned to the other poster, make sure your QR code is clearly visible to the camera and nothing is interfering with the view.
