Temporarily mute/reduce Alexa notifications

I would like to create a rule or routine that would temporarily reduce or mute the “person detected” notifications on my Alexa devices. Before I had Cam Plus I would only get one every 5 minutes. Now it can happen every 5 seconds if some is working outside in the if the camera and it can be obnoxious. I know that I can manually turn the notifications on and off, but I would like to have it turn back on automatically after a specific period. Does anyone know if a way to do this without a subscription to IFTTT?

When I encounter this situation I have to manually tell my Alexa devices “Do not disturb”, and then tell them to “turn off do not disturb” afterwards. I also would like a better solution.

You can create a shortcut to turn off person detection or notifications on specific cameras but it would be a manual action to execute the shortcut.

Well, here’s what I do. I have 6 echo shows step up and 5 routines that run for 3 hours each. The refresh the screen from the Wyze cams and she’s always saying something or even her Okay… I setup another echo dot, “called it Mute”, and turned the volume off and put it inside a closet plugged in. I use it for the Hear Alexa from selection and announcements she makes. Easy to simply change those a active speaking dots if I wish to hear.
