I hadn’t really used the Detection Zone feature of the cameras before, and was delighted to find a very handy bonus feature that could prove useful to others.
Once you have set a detection zone on a PTZ camera, when it is moved manually, it will return back to pointing where the zone was drawn after 15 seconds!
That is especially handy if you are sharing a PTZ camera with others. If someone else pans the camera around, but forgets to put it back in the original direction it was pointing, the detection zone will automatically return it to the correct position! Sweet!
