Suggested Improvements for Wyze Scales’ Data Export

Scales & App set to kg however when exporting kg turn into pounds

In Australia we use Kg for measuring weight which works well with these scales, however when we export the results using our email the report shows the weight in Pounds and Kg but all the other readings showing weight are in Pounds.

Welcome to the Forum, @farside8!

I agree that measurements in data columns such as “Lean Body Mass”, “Bone Mass”, and “Muscle Mass” should be given in kg. In fact, since the kilogram is truly a unit of mass, it makes even more sense to list these “Mass” measurements in kilograms rather than in pounds.

My main problem at this point with the scale data export (at least what I see for my Wyze Scale S) is that the data is dirty, by which I mean that the data cells in a column like “Weight(lb)” also includes text in addition to the numerical values: A weight of 14.7 pounds (I use Pet Mode frequently) shows as “14.7lb”, so that cell can’t be treated as a number because it’s contaminated with unnecessary text and must first be sanitized. That creates additional work for the user and feels like Wyze is causing a problem that the user has to fix. This shouldn’t be happening.

Other users in the Wishlist > Wishes Granted topic noted above have commented on this same problem:

That’s my primary reason for voting for this topic, because the “Granted” wish is still broken, and I hope that this topic will generate new votes/discussion for Wyze to see so that they can correct this.
