Split Mesh router frequencies after setup

Is there a way to split the mesh router into the two frequencies after setup, so I don’t have to go through the setup yet again? The A.I. chatbot says you can but the information and area to go to does not exist in the app.

Yes. You might even be able to create an entirely separate IOT network just for 2.4GHz.

My recollection is that you can only do that during setup. You might be able to split the guest network but I’m not sure since I don’t use one. Found this link:

I might not understand your statement but just renaming them different is good enough for a split. That is why I like a separate IOT network that I limit to 2.4GHz and cannot talk to my primary matched SSID.

If you don’t setup separate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 gHz during initial configuration, you must run the setup process again to do so.

So you’re say I cannot separate my existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz if I went over to my router right now?

I must be misunderstanding something that seems obvious to me.

No, you cannot split them without rerunning setup.

This is the WiFi information for my mesh router:

I was talking about a real mesh router.

My TP-Link can be easily set without those steps.

Yes, but this topic is the WYZE mesh router.

Oops. Sorry.

I didn’t realize Wyze mesh was different and had this limitation.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Luckily, I don’t split my freqs. I enjoy the advantages of not splitting.
