Hi I’m pretty sure I am on the right track with my thinking since my Wyze mesh 2 pack is in route and Im doing a lot of pre-setup research.
In my current network I have basically 2 wifi networks, one named for 2.4ghz and one for 5.8ghz.
I am assuming during setup that selecting Split Network is essentially doing the same thing, allowing me to setup a name for the 2.4 and one for the 5.8…correct?
My second question is, what are the dimensions of the Mesh routers? I am trying to find this info since I am going place one on a shelf upstairs so that it is in a good area without interference.

Its been reported here that the routers get hot.

Yes I am aware, the shelf is metal which will help dissipate heat better . It is not an enclosed shelf unit.
