Sound notifications on phones

We only get sound notifications on phones when Wyze app is open. Why doesn’t it give me notification without us opening the app.
I have an android and my shared person has an iphone.

I have a Android and do not have this issue.

Some devices require the App to run in background.

In App settings turn ON run in background.

I have an iPhone with iOS 17.2 and the WYZE app 2.48.0 (6) and I get WYZE sound and banner notifications on my phone when it is locked and even when using other apps like reading the news.

I’m not experiencing this either. What are your settings on your phone and in the app? I’m not familiar with iPhone, but I am very familiar with android stock os.
