In playback if you move the timeline to a spot with no recording, snap to the next available recording instead of reporting no video at the select time. this is particularly useful if using alarm only recording.
I believe this is this way intentionally because we don’t know if you would want the previous or next recorded segment. All you have to do is tap the < or > button on the timeline to get to the previous or next recording.

or slide left or right takes you to the next video as well
Actually, two different things. @tibibibear is talking about the playback timeline. I think you’re talking about the cloud event clips.
