SmartThings Integration

This is not true. If you have a Samsung phone or pad, it will work without a hub. I used it for months before I got my hub. Sure you can’t use zigbee or zwave devices without the hub, but wifi devices like TP Link it works fine.

And also you have to create a virtual switch for every brightness level and/or bulb color that you want and then manage all those virtual switches. Not practical at all.

Took me hours to create virtual switches through ifttt, only to delete everything and go the alexa routine app route which works perfectly. If they bring out an alexa app Update similar to action tiles - game changer!

I am using SmartThings, IFTTT, WebCore and Wyze and while things are not instant they happen in under 2 seconds in my situation.

I use it in combination with Amazons FireTv. So outdoor cams are connected through TinyCamPro using the alternative firmware, the only thing I changed was a firmware piece of script to make things easier.
However it works like a charm and now have 3 pans and 2 regular…However.
This set up isnt for everyone as it does take some comfortably in fiddling with programs to do it. It shouldnt be this difficult to the everyday user wanting to really improve their home security

Yeah I’ve got tiny cam Pro up and running finally. I’ve got my three indoor cameras going. And I’m adding five outdoor cameras in the next couple days. It’ll be 4 V2s and one cam pan. And then I’m waiting on the WCO to come out and I will be adding more of those when they are released

I have a Samsung SmartThings hub (V3) and would really like to be able to intergrate my Wyze cameras and sensors to it.

So I’ve got over 250 smart devices across 6 sites (rentals / business sites / home) - all using SmartThings as my Hub of choice.

I’m using devices from dozens of different companies to save cost, but it does make for some major configuration headaches - especially when I have to use IFTTT to get integration with SmartThings - ugh! It’s slow and often a but unreliable. I’m glad it’s there don’t get me wrong, but you almost always lose functionality when forced down the IFTTT path.

I for one would INSTANTLY replace well over 150 motion and contact sensors with Wyze Sense devices if they had direct SmartThings compatibility - especially if they had temperature & humidity sensors built in. Even without temp/humidity I’d pull the trigger tomorrow if they would just bring us a solid SmartThings direct connection!

Please Wyze, I’m begging you!

i’m curious, why? Also, none of Wyze’s sensors have temperature or humidity.

Stop ignoring your customers! How many upvotes and comments does this thing have to get to make the cut? If you don’t have the internal staff to do it, outsource some devs, roll it out, raise your NPS, and lets go already!

Kinda have to agree this discussion has been going on forever and if the audience loses attention cause their needs are not met they will go elsewhere. You captured us all with exceptional quality product with beyond exceptional price, the the third piece of the pie is listening to the collective. I think, maybe Im wrong, but 90% would have preferred intergration first before locks etc.
My opinion…

I look at it from a completely different view. I want more products. I don’t use ST so I’d rather have the lock. Or anything else they want to release. I think 90% is in accurate. ST has 1528 votes which is a lot! But they have millions of customers that could’ve voted yes and didn’t or haven’t for whatever reason.

But I do understand you’re frustration. I thought the list was to show what customers wanted and wanted the most. To me it’s easy. As far as votes go customers want ST integration. Period. I’m of the opinion they need to start ranking them by votes and saying if they are going to do it or not. If yes, how far along are they. The current system has 1000s of options to vote for. It’s unorganized. But you can clearly see ST stands at the top. You deserve a answer at the least.

I want ST integration as well but just because everyone wants it doesn’t mean they will just do it. I’m no tech expert but there could be many reasons why they can’t. Maybe the hardware can’t handle it along with the other things they have planned. Maybe they just can’t commit the amount of time it would take to integrate it and also maintain it.

That’s awesome but who knows what the timeframe is going to be

it’s also unclear what all the integration might cover. The AMA is for the Wyze Band. So will SmartThings scenes show in the Wyze Band but Wyze devices won’t come to SmartThings? We’ll have to wait and see I suppose.

Does Wyze has any plans for make their devices compatible with Smartthings?

I am SUPER stoked to say that we’re officially in the researching stage for SmartThings!

We have some really cool things we want to do on that front so this won’t be super quick but we’re heading this direction. :slightly_smiling_face:
