Hi! Just thought I’d take a second to share a suggestion that I think would help improve the user experience. Currently, owners of the wyzecam can share their camera access with other users, but those users cannot view the live playback/recording. I think that there should be an option to allow shared users (e.g. family members) also to view playback (if the owner grants access) so that family members can chime in on securing their household.

Frustrating that years later I am having the same issue and i’m being directed back to this same wish list. It seems like it wouldn’t be too hard to add a new type of user other than owner and guest, like an approved guests lists with rules for times and notifications and all that. In five years this couldn’t be accomplished? Would love an update now that I purchased a year subscription and can’t use one of the main features (playback).

It’s crazy that this in not an option. It’s gotta be easy to add this. The lack of this feature might keep me from buying any more wyze products.

Yeah, I think they are concerned about the liability of allowing someone to see things that happened before they were given permission to view them. That could be considered a security issue in some cases. I can understand that. I also think it can be resolved with either a disclaimer or a forced format. I will keep asking about it sometimes. It is something a lot of people want. I’m glad they at least put in some thought and have a logical rationale for it, even if I don’t agree with it and think there are ways to resolve it, I’m glad they are transparent about some of their concerns so we actually know how to address them and see if there is a reasonable way forward. Things just move slowly.

This is an inconvenience. I also have nest cams in my home, there all my family members have access to the recorded footage also it’s easier to fast forward or rewind through footage recorded on any given time it would be nice for Wyze to update to a feature like this

You give her the account password then she can access the.playback. In sharing they cannot access the playback
